About the Author

Kayla Bruce lives in the Madison, WI area with her motley crew: a husband, two energetic boys, and two lovable dogs. A lifelong lover of stories and language, Kayla has pursued her passion all the way to earning three degrees in English. She likes to read, and now write, books of all kinds!

When she’s not with friends and family or reading (mostly by listening to audiobooks), Kayla enjoys traveling, and has the goal of visiting all seven continents— just Australia and Antartica to go! Kayla currently homeschools her six year old in kindergarten, and it’s such a joy when she gets to read and share Chicago Dreams with kids in classrooms, book shops, and book fairs!
